TAMPA — Scott Effross’ road back from Tommy John surgery has been delayed by a procedure on a different part of his body.
The Yankees reliever underwent back surgery in December, manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday, which will delay his availability until some point this summer.
Effross underwent Tommy John surgery in October 2022, which caused him to miss all of the 2023 season, but he was hoping to have a normal spring training this year.
